Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on the first day, January 17, 2020

* Must attend all 4 days to become a Recovery Coach and receive your certificate

* Lunch on your own at nearby restaurants, see host for a list.

This is a 4-day intensive academy will provide attendees with the skills to guide, mentor and support people seeking or sustaining recovery from addiction to alcohol or other drugs. Prepares participants to actively listen and discover and manage their own beliefs, values, biases, and judgements.

Participants will also: - Describe Recovery Coach role and functions - List the components, core values and guiding principles of recovery - Explore dimensions of recovery and recovery coaching - Discover attitudes about self -disclosure and sharing your story - Understand the stages of recovery and stages of change - Increase their awareness of culture, power and privilege - Address ethical and boundaries issues - Experience recovery wellness planning - Practice newly acquired skills

COST: $100 per person and includes manual.

CCAR Trainers: 

Polly Morris has been in long-term Recovery since 2007 when she came to NH. She has worked in Prevention, Intervention, Treatment and Recovery and is passionate about engaging community in these efforts. Polly is a Certified Prevention Specialist and a Recovery Coach pursuing her CRSW.

She has her BS in Addiction Studies and is currently studying Community Engagement, Advocacy, and Management at Antioch University in Keene to achieve her Masters. Polly currently works as a project manager for Harbor Homes, the facilitating organization of the seventeen Recovery Community Organizations throughout the state of NH. She is committed to the belief that “Addiction is preventable, treatment works, and recovery is possible; anyone at any stage in their struggle with addiction can get help.”

Kathie Saari has worked in the field of addiction recovery for eighteen years. Kathie and her husband Charles are founders, Ordained Pastors, CRSW & Recovery Coach at Gates Recovery Center in New Ipswich, NH. Kathie is Executive Director at Gates is currently working on her degree in Psychology to further her licensure with the state of New Hampshire.

Gates Recovery Center is a faith-based, Christian recovery center in the Monadnock region of New Ipswich, NH, with a team of seven recovery coaches/ministers, that help facilitate recovery support services, provide recovery support resource services, hold weekly group meetings, and sober coffee cafe, MAT therapy groups, advocation, pastoral counseling, recovery coaching, life classes and trauma & inner healing prayer for the “Treasures” and their families struggling with addiction. We want to see addiction end and people healed so they may returned back to their original design. Gates’ motto is: “Come as You Are, and Shame Off You.”

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Please bring your printed recipt to the training to present at registration 8:30 am on the first day. 

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

No it is not, as certificates will be made accoding to registration.
